About me

About me

As the logo says, my name is Guadalupe. I'm originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, but at the moment, I'm living in Barcelona (though I like to move and change cities time to time). At 24 years old, I graduated with a degree in Multimedia Design, and my first job was for the President of Argentina. Yes, I know, mind-blowing… mine too!

I had the fortune to study a career that combines multiple disciplines within technology: graphic design, interaction design, development, robotics, and more. I've always felt attracted to many of these disciplines, that’s why I consider myself a designer by profession and a self-taught web developer.

For this reason, I have spent a large part of my professional career working as designer and frontend developer at the same time. I believe my strength lies in binding both worlds (design and development)

I had the opportunity to work in both large and small teams, and even lead a cross-functional team of designers and developers. It was a great experience because, as a team leader, I believe I helped build strong relationships among team members and elevate the strengths of each person (developers looking at design details, designers understanding what an array is).

The last years of my career I decided to change the focus, and dive deep into my knowledge of design. That’s when I left ibisdev (that was my house for almost four years), and I started the journey at HP, where I learned high qualified design techniques as design systems, design ops, estrategies inside big teams, and how to design from massive data and technologies that are in early research stage.

As extra info, I’m a cats /dogs / horses lover, and in my free time I like painting with watercolor while I drink coffee. ☕

Here are some of my paintings :), I painted the whale from a waterbrush book and the rest are sketches I did from my trips around Europe.
